Walking to Work - July 2006

It has been some time since I have posted any pictures here. My excuse is that I am back to work after 2 1/2 years of retirement. Working and traveling takes a lot of what used to my camera time. I still carry my camera with everywhere I go and as the days warm up and snow melts I increasingly feel the urge to get out taking pictures.
Until that happens here is a picture from July 2006. It was a foggy damp Saturday morning in Saint John. I found myself and a couple of other photographers under the viaduct beside the harbour wondering if the fog was going to lift or settle in more. As is my custom when I am concentrating in one direction I will turn 180 degrees just to to see what is happening. I had but a second or two to frame this picture and snap the shutter before the person had moved out of the scene. I don't know if she was heading to or from work. That is Harbour Station in the background. The mood calls for black and white so that is what I converted it to. Hope you like it.

As I recall, this was shot during the scavenger hunt. Great shot. One of my fav's.

Yes, it was taken during the 2006scavenger hunt but it wasn't suitable for any of the categories so very few got to see it. I ran across it the other evening while I was sorting some pictures and decided to post it here. I hope to get some current pictures here soon if I can ever find time to get out with my camera...
